To build conversations across boundaries for India's social, cultural, and economic development by improving the implementation of public policies.
CYCLE was founded on a simple but powerful observation: that a policy is only as good as its implementation. We saw firsthand how communities, especially in Delhi's rural and neglected areas, were being left behind despite policies designed to help them. From disappearing water bodies to promised colleges that never materialized, the need for a vigilant, data-driven advocate was clear. We created CYCLE to be that advocate—using research, legal action, and community engagement to hold systems accountable and bring tangible change.
We believe in evidence-based advocacy. Our work combines:
On-the-Ground Research: We conduct detailed surveys and studies, like our collaboration with a UK university, to gather hard data on public service gaps.
Public Interest Litigation (PIL): We use the power of the law to question government apathy and push for the enforcement of public policy, as seen in our work on Delhi's water bodies.
Community Engagement: We work directly with residents, providing a platform for their voices and complaints to be heard by the right authorities.
